If I were Juergen Klinsmann, I'd switch back to a 4-2-3-1, a formation in which the USA enjoyed most of its success last year. The USA lacks the tactical discipline/shape to play in a 4-4-2 diamond for 90 minutes, & most of that comes down to poor coaching. I also believe that for both club & country, Graham Zusi's best position is at CM/CAM. It's obvious that Zusi lacks speed & therefore is no real threat outside of his crossing ability out wide. But what Zusi does have, however, is good technique, he's clever on the ball, & he has good vision, which was displayed by his magnificent through ball to Julian Green. Also, Timmy Chandler isn't a LB, so I'd move Fabian back over to LB & start Yedlin at RB. I was impressed with Yedlin's performance in the last 30 minutes against Turkey. His defensive capabilities have improved a lot in the last year & aren't as bad as many make it out to be. People just like to cling on to one or two bad games & cling on to the perception.
