It would have been nice if Klinsmann had tried Johannsson on the wing in the meaningless October World Cup qualifiers, or the November friendlies...or against Ukraine in March. Now the team is only days from Brazil without an obvious answer on the left. Might as well give it a shot against Nigeria. Johannsson is simply too good to keep off the field.
And, yes, it's delusional to think JK will start anyone other than Jones alongside Bradley, but one can hope, right?
