I love this line up for the following reasons:
Tactical flexibility later in the game
Ability to control the midfield, start the game slowly and grow into it
Provide significant cover for a back 4 that won't have played much together
The tactical flexibility mentioned above will allow Klinsmann to take either Jones (yellow cards) or Beckerman off after the half if he needs to bring on AJ to partner with Altidore in a 4-4-2.
Similarly if the game still warrants 4231...can bring off JJ or KB, shift MB back to a DM slot, Dempsey into the AM role and bring on Zusi / Bedoya.
