Wondo is in form and after a 2 goal performance against S. Korea, will probably get one last chance to make a case for himself. Bradley is more then capable of playing the 1 holding player in a 4-1-4-1, he did it at Roma and with a ton of success. Donovan is still one of the best American players off the dribble and has always been dangerous playing off his striker when given the opportunity to play centrally. Quality and a NEED to figure out whether or not he's ready gives Julian Green the start on the left while the 1 striker system puts an emphasis on service making Zusi the choice on the right. Parkhurst is solid although a long shot to make the trip to Brazil, Beasley not being released gives him one last shot on the left. Besler is the most consistently solid CB we have and many people have forgotten a past Edu performance at CB vs. Mexico. A much better man-marker in the box, especially when the ball is in wide positions as well as his recovery speed make him a far more "battle ready" option then Omar Gonzalez who has often been exposed due to his poor positioning and ability to read the game. Yedlin is a darkhorse to make the roster and, much like Green, brings some qualities to the table that make him a "need to see" player before deciding on a roster. He is a monster athlete with recovery speed as good or better than any at the outside back position. For detractors that say he's not a polished enough player, I'll remind you of Frankie Hejduk and how incredibly effective he was for our national team despite not having the "on the ball" skill that we all wish he had. Yedlin may also give Klinsi the chance to slot Fabian Johnson in as a left midfielder come Brazil, an attacking role that we all know Klinsi likes seeing Johnson in.
