Rimando in goal is a lock for this game. Of the back line the only question is Yeldin. Of the options for right back I think Yeldon provides the most intrigue. He has the speed to recover if he pushes forward and is not shy in taking on defenders himself. He is still raw, but I want to see more of him. I know what we have with the other options. Besler and Gonzo at pretty much locks to start in Brazil barring injury. I think the complement each other well, they just need more time playing together to continue to build the chemistry they will need to perform well in Brazil. Beasley seems to have the inside track on the left back position for Brazil, though I would prefer Johnson, but I see him getting more time at LB for this game. The Defensive mid spot fits Bradley perfectly, he is more of a holding mid/Defensive mid versus an attacking mid. He can lea the attack from here, be able to influence the game offensively and be there to clean up the mess on the defensive side of the ball. The mid field spot is were I make the biggest decisions on this roster. I think Donovan has always played his best coming of the wing and he should be able to work his vision and improved crossing into the offense. Gil and Green are the wildcards here. Gil has shown a lot of promise in the mid field and he should be about to fill the attacking center mid position pretty well. Green is quick and likes to cut inside and go at defenders. He is the kid everyone wants to see and I think this position would fit him well. Johnson and Dempsey provide a good contract up front, with Dempsey being more of the poacher and creative forward and Johnson providing the speed and power. Demps could float in and out of the mid and just provide a lot of movement and find the holes in the defense with johnson stretching the field and and pushing to get in behind the back line. I think this could be an interesting lineup and one that could provide a lot of offense. Look forward to the game.
