Rimando in goal...shocker. He's going to Brazil, so give him the experience in case something crazy happens and he has to fill in for Howard or Guzan. I think Evans is not healthy enough to start, so I think Yedlin deserves a chance. I am a huge fan of his and I think he is a stud, who is developing really rapidly, and is the future of USMNT at Right back. He should get a chance to make a last minute case that he should be in Brazil. Give him 45-60 to prove himself and then throw Parkhurst on if he hasn't already been put on for Besler or Omar. Besler and Gonzalez have to show that their first 3 weeks of the season was just the rust coming off. If not Goodson and Parkhurst should be thrown in if Besler and Gonzalez don't look like they are up to snuff. Beasley is the Veteran that manages to fill in pretty well at LB. He struggled against Mexico a year ago, but this is certainly a chance for him prove that he can play this position and that Fabian should be in the midfield. Beckerman is a consistent player who does a lot of little things that don't always show up on the score sheet. He has had a great start to the season, and as such I think he should be given the chance to start at Defensive Mid. Central Mid should be two no brainers. Deuce has been on the upswing after his loan spell at Fulham, with that laser-like goal against Toronto. Bradley is the most important player in the US lineup. He runs the show and he is the most consistent player on the team. Over the past two years I cannot remember him playing in a game where I went, "Wow...he had an off day". On the Right Wing, you gotta start Landon Donovan, he's the best player in American history and he has really upped his training and his commitment compared to where he was a year ago when he was getting done with his sabbatical. Controversy time: Julian Green should start on the left wing. He is the elephant in the room. Give him a chance to prove himself against the US biggest rivals. If he isn't ready, he isn't ready...he's only 18, he'll be there for 2018, 2022, and maybe even 2026. He has plenty of time to develop. If he is all he is cracked up to be and puts on an impressive performance, then he will have had made his case for earning a spot in the May camp. Bottom line is that Klinsmann needs to give Green enough playing time for Klinsmann to justify to fans and other players why Green is or isn't on the plane to Brazil. Starting him is the perfect way to do this, and it will give the fans what they really want to see. Wondo should start up top. The guy really really wants to represent the US at the World Cup and this will be his only chance to do so, so if he plays his heart out, I think he can make a case that he should be going to Brazil over EJ. EJ is a great player, but he has started horribly for DC United this year, and his footwork is really sloppy at times (BOSNIA GAME). EJ should come on in the 2nd half, but I think Wondo should get the start. Also I really hope that Klinsmann subs on Luis Gil and gives him an amble chance to prove himself, because the more I watch Luis Gil play for RSL, the more I think we have a stud on our hands.
