MEXICO CITY—I arrived in Mexico City late Saturday night but didn't really get a feel for the place in the dark cab ride from Benito Juarez International Airport to my hotel in the Zona Rosa district. I made up for it Sunday, however, squeezing as many sites as possible into my Sunday itinerary before turning my focus to Tuesday's massive game between the United States and Mexico (10:30 Eastern, ESPN) at Estadio Azteca.
The slideshow at right will help set the scene for you, and perhaps even make you feel like you are here—minus the smog (not awful) and high altitude (definitely noticeable after an urban hiking marathon).
American Soccer Now will put you in the middle of the action throughout today, tomorrow, and Wednesday with a nonstop flow of analysis, news, ratings, and that sort of thing. So please check back early and often.
