ASN Morning Read: More on Kljestan's Return
Back with the national team for the first time since 2014, Sacha Kljestan looks for the opportunity to contribute, which his Red Bulls coach says will only come if given playing time.
- Sacha Kljestan replaces the injured John Brooks on the U.S. roster. Kljestan's last cap was in March 2014.
- Red Bulls manager Jesse Marsch had been lobbying for Kljestan to be called up since last summer, and now says Kljestan deserves minutes: "I think he earned a call-up and I think he earned an opportunity to get a chance to contribute. If Jurgen really wants to evaluate him, I think it’d have to be in a game.”
