- It's been a pretty, pretty good tournament for Clint Dempsey, who has taken his game to another level following his suspension and being stripped of his captaincy.
- Brooke Tunstall is in the ATL covering the Gold Cup semifinal for the ASN. He wrote this very cool retrospective on the 11 previous Gold Cup semis featuring the U.S. men's national team.
- Brad Evans recalls his winning goal against Jamaica in 2013: “That didn’t sink in until probably a couple weeks, a couple months later. You always remember certain firsts in your career, your first cap and then your first goal, and obviously away from home was incredible. The stadium, the atmosphere, no clock on the field. I had no idea what time it was even. It was just pure emotion.”
- A fan's #hot #take on Mexico's controversial win.
- Very cool:

- Back with their club teams, the U.S. women look to grow the game. Christen Press: "A lot of us play so the young girls can look at our team and say, 'I can do that.' That's why I thought the ticker-tape parade was so special—because we looked out into the crowd and there were girls there and I could see it in their eyes that they were thinking, 'I want this.'
- Despite his struggles last term, Brad Guzan will be Aston Villa's starter when the season kicks off.
- Clayton Kershaw looks super excited
