The 2014 FIFA World Cup kicks off

on June 12 in Sao Paolo, Brazil, and if you're anything like the editorial team at American Soccer Now, you've been obsessing about the tournament for some time now.

ASN's World Cup channel is designed to be your personal homepage now through the end of July. In addition to match schedules, standings, and results, we will be providing a steady supply of articles before, during, and after the competition. You will always be able to find the latest World Cup content on a constantly updating rotator at the bottom of this page. And ASN will have two writers—John Godfrey and Noah Davis—covering the games from Brazil.

Want to dig a bit deeper? Good. Just click on any of the four images at right—one for each of the four countries in Group G—and you will be transported to an in-depth team hub featuring original player profiles, stats, videos, and news links; background on the coach; team tactics; World Cup history; quotable quotes; and more.

Plus, our interactive features—including the ASN 100, the Starting XI tool, and the ASN Matrix—will have a distinct World Cup flavor from this day forward.

We hope you'll spend some quality time exploring what we've put together here, and we ask that you let us know what you think. We rely on your feedback as we strive to be the best American soccer destination on the Internet.

Thanks for everything.
