- Is Alejandro Bedoya the key to the U.S. team? "It's easy to understand why Klinsmann would choose Bedoya to man an unfamiliar spot in a tough road game against a dangerous foe. The veteran has emerged as one of the German manager's most trusted players over the past two years. He started three of the Yanks' four matches at last year's World Cup in Brazil, and for a player who started out in 2010 regarded as a more attack-minded option, Bedoya has always been a hard worker and defensively responsible." (Did anyone write that already?)
- Action shot:
-
- Ouch, Daily Mail: "Freddy Adu globetrotting tour continues as former US prodigy signs for Finnish side KuPS... the 11th club of his sinking career."
- Jordan Morris replaces Aron Johannsson on the U.S. roster. Johannsson is out with a toe infection, the latest in his long history of strange and painful sounding injuries. A little MLS action for your Monday morning enjoyment
- Landon Donovan. Maybe someone should buy him another sweatshirt, too:
