UNITED STATES U-20 head coach Tab Ramos has named 36 players to his first camp of 2016, to be held in Miami.

The U-20s are coming off a decidedly mixed year in 2015, advancing to the U-20 World Cup quarterfinals before losing in a shootout to eventual champion Serbia, then suffering lopsided losses to France and Germany in the first two camps of the new cycle. Here is the roster.

GOALKEEPERS

Jonathan Klinsmann (California; Newport Beach, Calif.), JT Marcinkowski (Georgetown; Alamo, Calif.), Mason Stajduhar (Orlando City SC; Lithia, Fla.), Justin Vom Steeg (Santa Barbara; Santa Barbara, Calif.)

DEFENDERS

Danny Acosta (Real Salt Lake; San Pedro Sula, Honduras), Hugo Arrellano (LA Galaxy; Norwalk, Calif.), Jonathan Bell (DC United; Rockville, MD), Marcello Borges (Michigan; Kearny, N.J.), David Burns (Sacramento Republic; El Dorado Hills, Calif.), Aaron Herrera (New Mexico; Casa Grande, Ariz.), Malcolm Jones (UCLA, Chino Hills, Calif.), Andrew Lombard (Northeastern, Montclair, N.J.), Mauricio Pineda (Chicago Fire; Bolingbrook, Ill.), Miles Robinson (Syracuse; Arlington, Mass.), Tommy Redding (Orlando City SC; Oviedo, Fla.), Diego Silva (Maryland; Provo, UT)

MIDFIELDERS

Amir Bashti (Stanford; Cupertino, CA), Joshua Doughty (Manchester United; Manchester, England), Cameron Lindley (Indiana Fire; Carmel, IN), Lucas Mendes (DC United; Arlington, VA), Matt Olosunde (New York Red Bulls; Trenton, N.J.), Martin Salas (UNC; Dallas, Texas), Yosef Samuel (Philadelphia Union; Philadelphia, PA), Evan Waldrep (Creighton, Peoria, Ariz.), Eryk Williamson (Maryland; Alexandria, VA), Jackson Yueill (UCLA; Bloomington, Minn.), Alex Zendejas (FC Dallas; El Paso, Texas)

FORWARDS

Coy Craft (FC Dallas; Frisco, Texas), Jeremy Ebobisse (Duke; Bethesda, MD), Sebastian Elney (Maryland; West Chester, PA), Juan Flores (Houston Dynamo; Houston, Texas), Victor Mansaray (Seattle Sounders; Des Moines, WA), Josh Perez (AFC Fiorentina; La Habra, Calif.), Emmanuel Sabbi (Chicago Magic; Libertyville, Ill.), Abu Winter (Philadelphia Union; Newtown Square, PA), Isaiah Young (PDA; Berlin, NJ)

There are some interesting names on this latest roster, most notably Manchester United’s Joshua Doughty, a former Canadian youth international who is said to have recently acquired his American citizenship. Also on this roster is Joshua Perez, who is listed at Fiorentina but who, according to ASN sources, has not signed with the club.

Domestically, Emmanuel Sabbi of the Chicago Magic has been one of the few promising players to emerge after the two fall camps, and the talented playmaker now will look to cement his place in the starting lineup as the team builds toward World Cup qualifying early next year. Most of the players are based in college, with UCLA's Jackson Yueill one in particular to watch.

Of course, there are several top players not involved in this camp whom you can expect to be involved later in the cycle: above all Borussia Dortmund's Christian Pulisic, Villarreal's Mukwelle Akale, Tottenham's Cameron Carter-Vickers, and Arsenal's Gedion Zelalem, currently on loan at Rangers.

The United States will play four matches in this camp, and all will take place at Barry University. On Jan. 8, the U-20s will take on local all-star team CASA at 3pm ET then face Weston FC of the NPSL at 6pm. The other two opponents are yet to be determined.
