The roster for the January training camp is out and ASN's Jon Arnold posts an interesting question: Which players are not cap-tied and could find themselves suiting up for other nations. Can you add to the list below?
Is the United States qualifier down to just Denver and Salt Lake with Kansas City eliminated? That's what one beat reporter thinks:
Soccernomics' Stefan Szymanski takes a look at why there's no racist chanting in American stadiums. Honestly, his conclusions are pretty weak and unsatisfying (something about being home instead of a visitor, and the relationship between owners and fans), but it's a start. Sort of.
Clint Dempsey lands a nice writeup in the Guardian. Is this the nicest paragraph ever penned about an American in England? "Americanisms are so abundant in Clint Dempsey's post-match interviews you would imagine his six months at Tottenham were his first in England. Yet talk of "A-games" and "shutouts" masks a man fluent in the English game who can slip effortlessly into any number of roles within Tottenham's line-up."
