  • We inch closer: "The United Bid Committee of the United States, Mexico and Canada officially started its outreach for cities to declare their interest to serve as Official Host Cities for the 2026 FIFA World Cup™ by sending Requests for Information (RFIs) to 44 cities across the three nations. The RFI asks each city to declare its interest to take part in the bid process by September 5, 2017.A total of 49 stadiums located in or around those 44 candidate cities will be considered for inclusion in the official bid that will be sent to FIFA by March 16, 2018."

  • Would have been nice if FC Cincinnati could have held on...

  • This is remarkable:
  • Oof: "Pablo Mastroeni has been fired in his fourth season as coach of the Rapids with 12 games remaining in the season, the club announced Tuesday. Assistant coach Steve Cooke will take over as interim coach. The Rapids are 6-12-4 this season and are in next-to-last place in the Western Conference. Under Mastroeni’s leadership, the Rapids went 38-51-35 and finished last or next to last every season except 2016, when they finished second at 15-6-13, defeated the Los Angeles Galaxy in the playoffs and reached the Western Conference finals."

  • We're gonna miss Will Parchman's insightful commentary on the youth game and more. Read his goodbye to all that retirement announcement.
