After a physical 0-0 draw with Iceland at the Algarve Cup, the two coaches had some things to say about each others' teams. We can only assume Iceland is still bitter about the annexation of Aron Johannsson.

  • The U.S. women played to a scoreless draw with Iceland on Monday, but still finished top of the group, earning a spot in Wednesday’s final vs. France. “If this was my team I would be very unhappy,” Iceland coach Frey Alexandersson said of the Americans’ performance. U.S. coach Jill Ellis returned fire: “Maybe he’s unhappy because his team is at the bottom of the group.”
