  • Oops: "World soccer governing body president Sepp Blatter and the man who was seen as his likely successor are both being investigated by FIFA’s Ethics Committee and could face provisional bans from the organization as early as this week, according to people familiar with the matter."
  • There might come a day when Major League Soccer is predictable...Today is not that day.
  • Meanwhile, good stuff from MLS:
  • "People have no idea. They hear professional athlete and think private jets, million-dollar salaries, five-star hotels and the kind of glamour that is simply not the reality for most of us. While we would love one day to attain these fancy perks as a part of our job in the National Women’s Soccer League, for the moment we are firmly rooted in what we do have."
  • Bobby Wood, met the back of the net:
  • What Bob Bradley is doing at Stabæk, getting a squad with limited financial resources to the brink of Europa League, is nothing short of remarkable.
