  • NYCFC is not particulalry good, but man are the games fun to watch:
  • Good luck, America:
  • This weekend's must watch: ArJo maybe debuts for Werder Bremen against Schlake04 at 9:30am on Saturday. (It's on FSP, whatever that is).

  • Also, Jermaine Jones could return to the New England Revolution starting lineup this weekend.

  • We are now in the struggling-to-find-news-about-American-players portion of the Friday Morning Read. That came early. Would you like some details about Bob Bradley? "Stabæk have started fresh contract talks with coach Bob Bradley. He is set to run out of contract at year's end, but I have been told that it currently looks like a better than 50% chance he is back next season. And for anyone who might be bummed he hasn't moved on to a more prestigious job yet, think of it this way: if they can rally for the Norwegian title, Bradley can stay and manage in the Champions League."

  • "Real Salt Lake has completed the long-expected signing of Juan "El Burrito" Manuel Martinez from Boca Juniors, the club announced on Thursday. Martinez, 29, signs as a Designated Player, filling the void left behind by Alvaro Saborio, who was traded to D.C. United for Luis Silva last month. To add Martinez as a DP, Real Salt Lake used targeted allocation money to buy down the budget charge of U.S. men's national team forward Kyle Beckerman. The club was at its full allotment of three DPs with Beckerman, Sebastian Jaime and Joao Plata."
