  • According to a power ranking put together by the good folks at FiveThirtyEight, Toronto FC, Major League Soccer's best team, is the 171st best team in the world. Minnesota United is 422nd, four spots from the bottom.

  • Here's an article called The Year of Christian Pulisic

  • Here's a photo of him with some kids:
  • Here for Rivalry Week: "MLS loves its big events. Make Rivalry Week even bigger."

  • This is not a good look: "Exhibit A for why MLS stresses teams play in soccer-specific stadiums, i.e. control their facilities: New York City FC will have to play its Sept. 23 match against Houston in East Hartford, Connecticut, 91 miles away from its Yankee Stadium home in The Bronx. The move to Pratt & Whitney Stadium, home of UConn football and a frequent venue for U.S. international soccer matches, was necessitated by the baseball Yankees having to play a makeup game against the Kansas City Royals on Sept. 25. The Yankees are part-owners of NYCFC but control access to Yankee Stadium, requiring lead time to get the baseball field ready."
