For the third time in five seasons, Los Angeles knocked Seattle out of the playoffs. The Sounders took a 2-0 lead in the first half, but Juninho’s 54th-minute goal made it 2-2 on aggregate with the Galaxy holding the away goal advantage. Highlights:

It could be a fairy tale ending for Landon Donovan, with the Galaxy hosting the MLS Cup final. "I'm sort of just in this moment right now." Donovan said. "I just want to prepare myself for one last week and do everything I can to help this team win. I really want to go out a champion."
Bruce Arena on losing and still going through on away goals: "I don't really care. I didn't make the rules. The whole objective is to get to the MLS Cup final. We accomplished that."
Sigi Schmidt: “There’s nothing I want to do more than bring an MLS Cup to Seattle because the fans are deserving… I just want to say thank you, and we’re sorry. We want to win it for them. We really do.”
