FIFA's president discussed the possibility of the United States hosting the 2026 World Cup, acknowledging that "opportunities are bigger now" than when the country hosted back in 1994.

  • Sepp Blatter talked up the United States’ chances of hosting the 2026 World Cup: "Perhaps there's a big commercial opportunity arising now in the United States because of the tremendous television audiences that are booming and that the World Cup has also encouraged in its domestic game as well. We did well with football when it first went to the United States but the opportunities are bigger now.”

    U.S. Soccer president Sunil Gulati said back in May that the interest is there, but there were no plans to bid unless “unless the rules are changed” regarding host selection.

  • Brian Sciaretta spoke to surprise call-up Jordan Morris, who didn’t get to play in last week’s friendly in Prague.
