  • There we were, hanging out on a nice Thursday afternoon thinking about going for a run, when all heck broke loose:
  • Jokes people, jokes. Landon Donovan was out of the World Cup roster, replaced by some combination of Brad Davis, Julian Green, and Jurgen Klinsmann's mind games. Alrighty then. People had opinions:
  • Why don't you give us your thoughts?

  • Donovan released a statement through Facebook, which was two years away from existing when he started playing for the national team: "It has been an honor and privilege to have represented the US National Team in three World Cups. I was looking forward to playing in Brazil and, as you can imagine, I am very disappointed with today’s decision. Regardless, I will be cheering on my friends and teammates this summer, and I remain committed to helping grow soccer in the US in the years to come."
