- It’s time for Jurgen Klinsmann to bring some fresh blood into the national team picture, says our John D. Halloran.
- The U.S. faces Costa Rica tonight at Red Bull Arena in its final match before World Cup qualifying gets underway in November. The Americans are 13-13-6 against Costa Rica, with all 13 of those wins coming on home soil.
- Fabian Johnson was sent home by Klinsmann, who said the fullback needs to “rethink a bit his approach toward his team.” Forget that Johnson was 111 minutes into the game after just missing five weeks of action and the absurdity of Klinsmann saving his final substitution to bring Nick Rimando for hypothetical penalty kicks.
- Taylor Twellman says the U.S. needs to get younger.
