  • A “senior FIFA employee” told German newspaper Die Welt that moving the 2022 World Cup from Qatar is a “serious option.” The source suggests a decision would be made at the 2015 FIFA Congress. This news comes on the heels of a report that more than 400 Nepalese migrant workers have died on construction sites since the country was awarded the tournament back in 2010. Stay tuned for the next 15 months.

  • Seattle Sounders boss Sigi Schmidt says Fulham's managerial change won't have any impact on Clint Dempsey's loan. Dempsey hasn't been in the 18 for either of last-place Fulham's past two matches, both of which were under Rene Muelensteen, who was fired Friday and replaced with Felix Magath. There's only one match remaining on Dempsey's loan deal – against West Brom on Saturday – but Seattle isn't pushing for Dempsey's early return.
