Instant Starter for the "A" Team
Doesn't Even Make the "B" Team
I Want to See Him Against Bosnia Promising But Still Raw
Really want to see him against Bosnia, mostly to see what sort of form he's in. All signs point to a potential fill in for some of our aging front line looking forward. Seems to like to play a little deeper than Jozy, so he slots into that Clint/Donovan space. — Steve Haller

Performances in Denmark were stellar. — RJ
Probably won't get his FIFA switch done in time for the Bosnia friendly, so everyone should just try to catch some AZ games before WCQ starts in September. My guess with Herc looking less likely to be ready for the WCQ, Johannssson will get his shot. Has a lot of potential. — 2tone
Young very talented, he is gonna have time to develop in a good league and hopefully mature into a great forward. — Ryan
Need to see how he fits in with the team. I 100% want to see him on the field in Bosnia. Definitely has the potential to be a first team starter, would love to see if he could be our man on the left wing (I know he is traditionally a CF, but hard to see him push out Jozy), plus it would be nice to cement F. Johnson as LB instead of left mid. — Drew
Played better than Jozy while at AZ. — Brendan Husebo
<--; You're basing this on five appearances for AZ? No disrespect, but you're either joking or out of your skull. — creweXI
He has a lot of potential and I think he will be successful — Billy
Need to see him Play, but promising — Mike
Can never have enough depth and quality at striker. Look at the top teams in the world, they have multiple marquee strikers to choose from at any given time. Based on how well he gels with teammates and performs in Bosnia, I think he's immediate consideration for A team as a starter or super sub. One thing is for sure he pretty much kills the chances of EJ and Wondo - and they should now (finally) be firmly considered B team players. — Kakridas
Excited to see him, but I'm going to hold off on calling him the second coming of Joe Max Moore for now. — BDM
Great potential and will be good to see how he mixes with the current group. — Alex
Jóhannson is probably a bit raw, but I definitely want to see him in the B-H friendly ... as far as his USMNT spot, behind Altidore and EJ but probably on par with Herc (who picked up an injury and just moved clubs) and Terrence Boyd (who is Klinsi favorite but hasn't shown hid class for the NT yet). He has a very good shot to suit up in Brazil next summer, just go out and perform. — John
A real nose for goal. I don't think he starts right away & may be the super sub. Will definitely contribute. — BostonRed
I agree with both horizontal axis comments so I had to throw one over here to balance it out. — Kyle S
roll tide — ben eastman
not on the A team yet but headed that direction. He scores goals plain and simple — jt
I want to see him in international competition right away to see what he can really do. However, how he plays against B&H is different than the CONCACAF grind. — Kyle S
Not an instant starter, but I see no reason not to get him into the squad immediately. Let's see if he has the sort of game to contribute in the Hex. — JHG
New Robbie Findley? — JC
<-- Ha! I was thinking the same thing. — Mark
Very talented and could be a huge pick up for us. Jozy is the number 1 right now but Aron gives us flexibility to go with 2 up top or for him to play wing. Don't think he is a starter just yet, but great off the bench. Jozy, Demps, Landon and Zusi seem to be our front four right now (I hope) — JB
Let's see what's he's got — Sounder in PDX.
From what I've heard, he seems like a fantastic prospect. Waiting for Bosnia (hopefully the paperwork will be done by then), but he doesn't just start without proving himself. Hopefully he can do that. — PC
Okay — Thomas
sdfasdfasd — Sean
Definitely want to see in upcoming friendly. Record this season with AZ will dictate further inclusion. — Trace
His Eredivisie experience will be telling. If he puts in 20 goals he may be the clear 2nd or 3rd option at lone striker - which doesn't say much for our depth. That said, his announcement brings hope for some international level depth going into the WC. — Tyler
Not an instant starter, but certainly adds quality to the side and is capable of making the World Cup next summer. — Connor
I want to see him play in our system. I'd love to see him become a part of the A-team, but I also don't want to leave Boyd out in the cold when he's been looked at and worked hard to be a part of the depth chart. And how do you take out EJ and Wondo after their Gold Cup performances? tl;dr - for the future, not 2014. — Zach H
just... — malcolm
Never even seen him play! So, I am as close to neutral as possible. — Jordi
chemistry is everything...so we'll see — CP
boobs — boobs
needs time — Jackie
Needs to get some goals in holland first. — Nonma
Definitely someone we want to get a look at but nowhere near an instant starter. He has much to prove and he'll start proving it off the bench. The 4 players up top for the A-team seem clear: Jozy, Dempsey, Donovan, Zusi. The new guy ain't cracking that group. — Brian
Has an estimated market value similar to Corona's but is years younger. Has a 3-min YouTube highlight reel that displays dozens of goals with confident, if not spectacular, finishing. Seems likely to be no worse than third on the natural forward depth chart. Anyone who says they know his ceiling is from Iceland or exaggerating. — soccerjohn
Cap-tying would be nice. — Eric G.
. — F.
Jozy backup? Let's not go crazy. Kid couldn't start in a b level European league, let's not book his flight to brazil just yet and give Terrance Boyd the start he's earned. — Gt
<----- Terrence Boyd has not been starting for Rapid Vien. Johannson starts for AZ which is a much bigger club. Plus Iceland is extremely deep in the striker role. Poor analysis. — What?!
