The Yanks Have Finally Arrived
Those Bosnia Subs Shit the Bed
Klinsmann is a Genius Relax. It was a Friendly.
If we would have lost the game 2-0 everyone would have been stating we don't deserve to be in the conversation as a top 20 team. It is time we feel empowered to say the opposite when do win. — Kyle S
For those claiming bosnia subs sucked, it might be true. Either way, it validates that the Americans have more depth and so we deserved to win. Michael Bradley was excellent. That might have been the main factor in US 59 percent possession. — Ian
Jozy is a man. Bradley is all over the field. Love the development and win streak. — Andy
Starting to show our potentate — Andrew
Another strong performance by Klinsmann and his band of yanks. We look to have substantially more depth all over the pitch and the first half was a learning experience. It is good to Josmer round into good form heading into the club season. I would like to see more of John A. Brooks and Johannson as they looked promising with extroardinary talent. — G
This doesn't mean that Klinsmann isn't a genius, though. — @bcschles
W,W,W,W,W,W,W,W,W,W,W,W it's the only thing that matters. — @ageewx
Nice victory, but not one worth getting too excited over, still a lot of flaws exposed. Work in Progress, all that matters is that work is complete by June 2014. — creweXI
Klinsmann has implemented a great strategic vision; plus he has tactical smarts - which he wasn't supposed to have. Yes, it was a friendly, but a friendly with purpose. Which being, both teams are good and getting better: who and what else can help? The US was successful in meeting that purpose; Bosnia, not so much. Their subs didn't do much, ours did. A deserving win - but we haven't accomplished anything tangible. Yet. — John R
Good game — Me
Troubling how stubborn JK is about playing Cameron at cb — Excellency
good attacking display — hunt
I don't know what to think. — Joe Angio

That comeback with our A- team vs. their A- team shows that America has finally reached the level of second-tier Euro teams...and I mean that in a good way. — Xose
Great win and Klinsmann did it again with his subs. It was a quality win against a quality opponent. Sure it's not Germany or Spain, but still. I am actually very excited about a possibility of a having a good run in the WC. Premature? Maybe. Another note, Donovan and Dempsey didn't even play in this game. The squad as a whole are looking good, they just need to sort out a few kinks with the defense and they will have the chance to raise a few eyebrows next summer. — Joshua Sonnier
Klinsmann's tactical changes and subs have been fantastic recently and our player pool is getting so much deeper. Our top level players are slightly better than four years ago, but I no longer cringe seeing second or third string players in the lineup. The interest in the game is growing at a startling rate in America (almost alarming, I'm afraid of it crashing down) and young players finally know that if they don't switch to American football or basketball when they go to high school that they can still make damn good money all over the world. The more of our top young athletes that we can keep in the sport, the stronger we will continue to get. I feel like very deep runs into the World Cup within the next eight to twelve years are no longer entirely out of the question. — Jake
Yes, it was a friendly, but at the same time we were without our key starters in Dempsey, Donovan, Besler, Gonzalez, Besler. What this does show is that despite questions and loose ends defensively, our key players have the consistency and skill on the attack. Bradley was incredible in finding spaces to play the through ball and will be a huge asset going forward. With our quality players starting, this will be incredible. What a win, Klinsmann has shown that he is able to enact effective tactical changes when necessary. If we can continue this run of form, we are poised to make a deep run in the WC Finals next year. — Sheen
Good win against a good team in good part due to Klinsman's choice in subs — jake
It can't be overstated enough. Klinsmann has developed lots of squad depth and he is getting results. — Willis
I quality win on the road against a team that was on a roll itself... A mistake to discount it as "just a friendly" — John O
These are friendly s and while the form is good, we still played a lower echelon euro team... — Sam Clark
Possession stat is the main story for me. I know it's not a popular sentiment, but as I watched the first half (even down a goal, and then two) I felt it was a fairly good performance by the US and a close contest. A couple mistakes (Jozy's hesitation in front of goal, EJ's turnover) and questionable calls (offside on their second and no calls on Mix and EJ's claims for penalties) were the difference. Enthusiasm is tempered by the impact of the second half subs (particularly subs to their back line), but we leveled the score with most of their horses still in the game. And made it look easy. Again, the main story is that we had most of the ball - none of our goals off counter attacks or headers. Amazing! — JoshW
Win — Me
It doesn't mean much, except that we used to lose all of these, and now we beat Bosnia, Germany, Italy, and Mexico? (And lose to Belgium.) So it means something. I wouldn't say JK is a genius, or that we've "arrived," but individuals like MB90 and Jozy have grown to a level where they can shape a game and make things happen at will. — @ryansholin
Not that important of a game. Regardless, Klinsmann continues to baffle and then surprise me. There are much tougher challenges ahead. But there is something great to be said for how the team has been playing lately. I'm greatly encouraged but always skeptical. — Josh Dolby
Klinsmann has developed some impressive squad depth, and it will be interesting to see what Johannsson offers for the team in the coming games leading up to the world cup. — Joseph
Just a friendly, but good adjustments on the road. We will be extremely hard to handle if Jozy continues this run of form. — NJ
Everything Jurgen touches turns to gold. Bosnia's subs created an opportunity for us but we still had to take advantage and we did. A very good win but we haven't arrived until we do it in Brazil next summer. — Brian
defense still worrisome. we've arrived more if we win this 4-0 — JT
Klinsi rules! — Art
Right about... here. — Adam
I'm as giddy as a school girl...and then I take a deep breath and crush my optimism with the typical American soccer cynicism. — Sean
Regardless of Bosnia's sub situation, Klinsmann made great adjustments and the U.S. played pretty solid soccer in the second half. Yes, it was just a friendly, but Bosnia brought out their best and the U.S. beat them -- in Europe. Impressive — Halford
Klins brings something to the table, but its a friendly. — Hork
Can't argue with success... — Silent K
JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY JOZY — Tom
Friendly, second half, but that first goal was just world class. An insane pass and an incredible touch. — Chris
Klinsmann has mined the depths and it is paying off. New attitude as well. — Dan
many others yet to come... and to see — dave
Played well but Bosnia seemed to underestimate us — Ian
Great tactical decision making by Klinsmann. — Rob Pennachio
A win is a win, but it was just a friendly. — AW
Getting there... — CR
Good second half, not good first half. 4-4-2 is they way to go. — ConnGator
Promising result, but they need to be hitting their peak NEXT summer, not this summer. — Chad Gambone
The result was nice, but even better was getting a glimpse of the next generation of great American soccer players — Jon
The Bosnians subs were really bad, especially all at once like that, but credit the Yanks and Klinsy for capitalizing on the mistake(s) and never giving up, especially after getting dominated for much of the first half — Mark
Good sign for the USMNT but it was a friendly. — Yeeleng Vang
Nice win, but still a friendly. — L
12 in a row!!! — Jay
I don't think this is the opposite of Klinsmann is a Genius - I do think he is leading us to the promised land - however this is just a friendly. put the same teams against eachother for the Cup and it would have been different. — Artic Fox
. — Q
Bosnia subed out the foundation of their game. — Andy
Thrilling display second half second.Need to carry momentum over to the world cup games. — John
Friendly or not, bad subbing or not, they still had to come back from a 2-0 deficit to win. Not that easy even against subs. It's not like they subbed a U21 C team in anyway, they were still decent players that they came back on. Wasn't our full team either. So it works — Professor Dinosaur
Jozy has arrived! besides that Jurgen's adjustments and Bosnia's poor adjustments decided the game. — beto
I'll be impressed if they do this in a world cup, not in a friendly. — John
JK gets credit for the tactical switches, but BIH clearly took their foot off the pedal with those subs. — BDM
Great moves by Klinsmann. Bosnian subs were not nearly as good as the starters. Still just a friendly. — zack
Bosnia showed their lack of depth that game. They should be worried come 2014. — Edin Dzeko
Incredibly lax defending on two of the 4 US goals though they were well taken. Nice game but people are getting way too hyped over it. — David Goldie
Relax but it's still a good win and we're on a roll — Jmart
Susic had to make some forced subs in the second half, and if it wasn't for that, Bosnia would have won easily. Just a friendly though, and a good chance to see the bench guys in action. Evidently, some Bosnian subs don't deserve the jersey. — Haris - Bosnian - Sarajevo
Eh — D

Friendlies aren't totally worthless, you can learn a few things. Bosnia's backups weren't half as good as their starters. And Klinsmann isn't a "genius" for going back to the principles that have always driven American soccer. — KXRTI
Bed,bath and beyond! — SC
Really disapoitment for the reserves — Albin
So safe to say US subs are better then? — <<<<Idiot
