We'll continue to impose our style on games. We'll get pushback, of course, once we're out of group and into the elimination round.
Minimum goal: get out of group with little fuss; we could win our group unless we're in with a top-4 seed.
Reasonable goal: win our round of 16 game.
Best-possible scenario: advance to semis.
If we're in the Group of Death, we'll be one of the reasons why it's the Group of Death.

A lot depends on the draw. A reasonably draw will see us through to the round of 16 and I think to the round of 8.

US continues to develop into a team than can dictate play as it advances past group play again. The US is one of the top 10-15 teams and even an unfavorable group shouldn't stop them.
It is all about who you draw once you get to the knockout stage. Draw Brasil in the round of 16 and it's over for the US. Draw Russia or England and the US probably advances.

US will play a better game than they have in past WC. I think we have a chance (not a big one, but a legitimate one) to win. My expectation is quarterfinals, and I don't think semis are completely out of the question. Nice having 'expectations' rather than 'hopes' for once.

I can see the USA coming out in the group stage and playing aggressive attacking style soccer, and really trying to bring it to the bigger teams in their groups. I think the USA will really bring their A game if they have a couple of really good teams in their group. Even if the USA has a mediocre group I see us playing attacking style. Either way I think Jurgen gets us out of the group and turns some heads along the way.

The U.S. has shown that against most teams, even some traditional powers, it prefers to play open, attacking football. That will be how the U.S. plays next summer. I think it will do well. So much depends on the draw for the group stage, but I truly believe the U.S. is among the top 16 teams in the world and will play like it - reaching at least the beginning of the knockout round.

Klinsmann's philosophy is to play attractive, attacking football, and he will certainly try to display that on the world stage. We have the talent to play that style as well. Getting out of the group stage is a must, and any win after that is a bonus.

I think we'll be able to take it to weaker teams, go toe-to-toe with the middle of the pack, and play good ol' American defend-like-hell-and-try-to-steal-a-goal-on-the-counter against the powerhouses. As usual, anything less than round of 16 will be a disappointment, anything more will be a bonus. Let's reevaluate after the draw.

Tactics will change depending on our opponent. As much as Klinsi wants us to be the aggressor every game, it's just not possible yet against the monsters of Europe.

The US will play attractive when possible, and pragmatic when needed. Overall, the US will continue to play with a variety of styles just as they have throughout the Klinsmann run up to the World Cup. These boys have proven they can adapt to a wide view of the game. Klinsmann has shown the willingness to throw players forward when needed to get results, and the ability to sit on points when they've got them.

It all depends on the draw. But assuming an average one I'd say we'll be playing more proactively than we ever have before in the WC but far from how we played in the Gold Cup. I think making out of an average to strong group would be a mark of progress and think we can achieve it as long as injuries and poor form don't strike.

Depends on the draw. The US should be able to get out of most any group that is thrown at them (though Uruguay, Netherlands, and Cote d'Ivoire is a scary possibility), getting to the quarterfinals and beyond will depend on matchups.

Play style: I think against weaker teams we now have the experience and ability to control the style of play, and will play aggressively. Against stronger opponents, we'll revert to more traditional USMNT tactics and try to counter. I have use on the low side because I expect us to make the quarters, but we'll play mostly a counterattacking style to get us there.
