The 10 American Players Who Just Missed the Cut
A certain backliner for an East Coast Major League Soccer team gets the unique distinction of being person 101 this month. But it could be worse; at least he didn't drop nearly 10 spots.

A.J. Soares must be wondering what happened. The new ASN 100 is out and the New England Revolution centerback fell out of the list despite not playing a game. Tough break, but that's how life goes on the fringes of the ASN 100.
At least he's not Benji Joya, who plummeted from 95 to 103. Omar Salgado also fell out of the top 100 between December and January.
Others on their way down include Chris Wingert, Bobby Convey, and Frankie Simek. One player making a case for inclusion in February's 100 is Sebastian Lletget, who is becoming a fixture on the West Ham bench. I would also expect a resurgent Bobby Wood to start breaking into the top 110, if not the top 100 soon.
The biggest gainer since we started? That would have to be John Anthony Brooks, who just missed in October's rankings, but has moved up steadily and now sits in 71st place. The 10 men below can take heed.
101. A.J. Soares
102. Benji Joya
103. Sebastian Lletget
104. Omar Salgado
105. Chris Wingert
106. Bobby Convey
107. Robbie Rogers
108. Luis Silva
109. Frankie Simek
110. Drew Moor
