The Xolos went to Colombia and defeated Fredy Montero and Bogota's Millonarios in the first match of the Copa Libertadores. The victory leaves the Mexican champions at the top of its group. Americans Joe Corona and Edgar Castillo started, with the latter getting the game's only assist. If the club can make a run in South America's biggest tournament, it would be a bigger achievement than its recent Liga MX domination--and the sort of achievement that Jurgen Klinsmann would relish.
