  • Another big night in CONCACAF Champions League action. Herculez Gomez finished off Toronto FC with a blistering strike in the 73rd minute.

Out on the West Coast, a depleted Seattle Sounders side easily beat Marathon in a game that saw Marcus Hahnemann return to the net. He called the entire affair an "awesome experience." He's the best.

  • Jermaine Jones entered to start the second half of Schalke's Champions League match with Arsenal and made a difference. He helped on one goal and prevented another, leading his club to a 2-0 upset over the Gunners.

In other CL action, Oguchi Onyewu came on in the 93rd minute of Malaga's impressive 1-0 victory over AC Milan (the defender's former club). Sacha Klejstan didn't get off the Anderlecht bench.

  • Freddy Adu was a DNP: coach's decision against Sporting Kansas City, leading to speculation that his time in Philadelphia is over. If it's true, it was not a bad run:

  • The U-17 squad has a match against hosts Argentina in the Four-Nations Tournament. In the first game of the event, Richie Williams' boys easily outpaced Chile by a 5-1 scoreline. Borussia Dortmund signing Junior Flores played the final 23 minutes.

  • Miami's building a "top-tier" soccer stadium. (h/t Jason Davis)

  • And finally, Mix Diskerud has a game today, but it could be tough sledding getting there. Literally.
