Andre Villas-Boas loves him some Clint Dempsey. Here are the quotes to prove it: "[Dempsey] is a massive player for us. He has had a big impact. He scored 17 goals last season so we have to count on him. He plays striker, plays wings and plays through the middle so he gives us that option." That's about as effusive as you get in the world of international football.
Oh man, Malaga doesn't look fun. Gabriele Marcotti details the situation at Oguchi Onyewu's club and, yeah, not the best of times off the field despite some impressive performances on it. The silver lining? Perhaps the fire sale will help the American defender see even more time.
