Joe Corona Fractures Right Foot, Will Miss Months
The 24-year-old Los Angeles native was on a good run of form with both Club Tijuana and the United States national team, but now he'll have to battle through an extended rehabilitation program.

UNITED STATES NATIONAL TEAM midfielder Joe Corona has suffered a fracture in his right foot and could potentially miss several months.
Corona was injured in Club Tijuana’s 2-1 win over Queretaro on Friday and left the game on crutches. He subbed into the game in the 60th minute but had to leave in the 74th due to the injury.
On Saturday night, United States national team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann tweeted that he wished Corona a speedy recovery.

The 24-year-old San Diego native has played his entire professional career with Club Tijuana and scored one of the most memorable goals in club history in 2011 in a promotional playoff series against Irapuato. Corona has played in all 13 of Tijuana’s games this season and has started nine times.
