Jozy Altidore Is Scoring Goals "24/7" for AZ Alkmaar

He did it again.
Fresh off a hat trick last weekend, United States national team striker Jozy Altidore scored yet another goal for his club, AZ Alkmaar, in Friday's 4-1 Dutch Eredivisie win over VVV Venlo. His oh-so-cool right-footed strike came off a breakaway in the 62nd minute and put the game away. It was his 15th league goal this season. Take a look.
There's really not that much more to say, other than to acknowledge that Altidore—currently ranked 8th in the ASN 100— finds himself in amazing form a few weeks before the beginning of the Hexagonal—the final round of CONCACAF World Cup qualification.
U.S. coach Jurgen Klinsmann recently explained his concept of "24/7" soccer in an eye-opening New York Times Goal blog post. In the not-so-distant past, one could safely assume that Klinsmann was including Altidore among the group of players who aren't focused on soccer around the clock every day. But his current form with AZ suggests that Altidore is giving plenty of attention to his game. He has been absolutely lethal of late.
