After his contract with Sonderjyske ended in December, American central midfielder Conor O'Brien has signed with defending Danish Champions FC Nordsjaelland.

"Conor has signed a two-year contract with Nordsjaelland," agent Allan Bak Janssen told ASN. "It was his first choice all along, but there was a lot of interest."

This will be the third Danish club O'Brien has played for. He began his career with 2.Division Blokus who he helped to promotion. After one year at the club he joined Sonderjyske where he was a mainstay in central midfield as the squad finished in midtable despite a low budget.

Nordsjaelland currently sit in second place in the Danish Superliga with 35 points through 20 games. They trail first place Copenhagen by 12 points but are ahead of third place Aab by three points. In Denmark, the second place finisher qualifies for the Champions League qualifying rounds.
