Oh well:
Mix Diskerud's father might be a huge loan shark. What now? "In Norway, Paul Diskerud is under investigation by the Finanstilsynet (The Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway) under penal code ยง295, which forbids usury. Usury is fancy speak for loan sharking. Diskerud is alleged to be one of Norways biggest loan sharks, accused of screwing people out of millions of dollars through illegal, unregulated loans that carry interest rates as high as 133 percent."
Tottenham signs 17-year-old Cameron Carter-Vickers to a two-year deal on his 17th birthday, beating out Arsenal. The club's brass sees the young central defender as the eventual successor to Sol Campbell and Ledley King.
In other Spurs news, DeAndre Yedlin will move there in January after receiving his work permit.
The United States women fall out of the No. 1 spot for the first time since March 2008. Germany is the new top dawg. The women drew Brazil 0-0 in the final of the International Tournament of Brasilia but lost the championship trophy due to points accumulated during the group stage. We suppose that's better than penalty kicks?
A line buried in this excellent expansion draft day play-by-play: "Pedro Ribeiro came highly recommended by [Amobi] Okugo."
Get Bill Hamid to the choppa.
Red Bull. NYCFC. Cosmos. Go.
