  • The Brits can now watch MLS: "Major League Soccer announced on Wednesday that it has partnered with British sports broadcaster Sky Sports to televise league matches live in the United Kingdom, marking the first time Sky Sports will own MLS broadcast rights."

  • We're on to 2016:
  • We're on to 2022: (Also, cool story, CONCACAF.)

  • Baby, it's cold outside: "Of the so-called Big Four leagues, the NHL and the NBA are off from June until October and the NFL doesn’t begin until September. That means for the bulk of the March-October MLS season, its only competition is Major League Baseball. We can bicker about how much overlap there is between the fan bases of those leagues, but it’s inarguable that it’s easier to cut through the clutter in the summer."

  • Oh Hope:

  • Go go Klinsmann charm offensive:

  • Would you like to know how the David Beckham to Miami deal fell apart: "At the onset, things looked good. Then on February 3, 2014, Deputy Mayor Genaro Iglesias forwarded a media advisory inviting the County Commissioners to attend the MLS-Beckham event on February 5. The next day, the Deputy Mayor's secretary forwarded an invitation to the County Commissioners to come and meet David Beckham at Kendall Soccer Park for an event. Beckham held the presser, toured some stadium sites and, on March 24, 2014, he unveiled a gorgeous waterfront stadium design in PortMiami (which was once just called the Port of Miami). And that's when sh*t hit the fan."

  • Are there too many soccer team? "Gulati, the U.S. Soccer president, said he characterizes what’s going on in the domestic game as a growth period. 'But I characterize it that way with caution,'” he said.

  • He missed the point of the movie:
