  • Could Mix Diskerud be headed to the United States? The rumor is that NYCFC is interested in the midfield playmaker, who is currently playing in Norway but was linked to the Portland Timbers last year. Diskerud could want a DP contract, however, which might make things difficult as NYCFC would like to make a splash by signing internationally recognized names. (Sorry, Mix.)

  • Brian Sciaretta talks to Ben Spencer, who is enormous and had an excellent Dallas Cup. He's on loan to Indy Eleven, and looking forward to the experience: “I never really expected to come back stateside, to be honest. But the opportunity came up and I was looking for a loan move and somewhere where I could play matches and get as much experience as I could. This city is really behind this team. There’re some quality players here and hopefully I’ll get a lot of matches. It’s definitely a growing league. I think the level will be good. It will definitely be a good next challenge for me as a player.”

  • Sciaretta also catches up with U-20 coach Tab Ramos. The successes of the Dallas Cup? "I would have to start with Rubio Rubin because, don’t forget, Rubio is one year younger. I, of course, knew that Rubio was a great player but I didn’t know he would be able to adjust this way to the older age group because a lot of those guys normally can’t. One year is a big difference in terms of the physicality of the game. He has not only adapted, he has become certainly one of the best players and one that we definitely want to have on board. The other one I would have to say right off the bat is how quickly Erik Palmer-Brown adapted to playing two full years up—which is extremely difficult."

  • Are you going to Brazil? Here's a handy city guide made by the Brazilian government. Would you like to know the driving distances between cities? Oh, wait you can't get there from there. Along those lines, riots in Rio.

  • Do three people who would very much benefit from the World Cup being a success in the U.S. think the World Cup will be a success? Why yes they do.
