John Anthony Brooks says he’ll decide between the U.S. U-20s and the Germany U-21 team in the coming weeks. We also learn that he has zero yellow cards this season.
Michael Bradley stars with Francesco Totti and some other Roma teammates in a new Volkswagon commercial, teaching them the finer points of car-technology-based English. If anybody could translate the Italian at the end, we’d love a hand.
Oh right: on the field, Bradley regained his place in the starting lineup and went 90 as Roma drew 1-1 with Lazio. The Italian club sits in seventh place in Serie A.
It's tense at White Hart Lane, at least according to Clint Dempsey. Champions League places will do that to a club.
The Seattle Sounders face an incredibly tall task tonight, heading to Torreon trailing Santos Laguna 1-0 in the CONCACAF Champions League semifinals. Eddie Johnson missed the first leg, but he traveled with the team to Mexico and should be available in some capacity.
Daniel Cuevas is back in training after the injury he suffered during the CONCACAF U-20 Championship. Herculez Gomez told him the Santos senior team was watching the tournament and players were impressed with the 19-year-old attacker. Santos’ coaches were there watching too, so that certainly bodes well.
