The winger is heading back to Stoke after getting into it with Barnsley fans; San Jose takes the field tonight in CONCACAF Champions League action; Jurgen Klinsmann wants you to hold players accountable.

Brek Shea’s loan with Barnsley was cut short and he’s heading back to Stoke City after displaying an offensive gesture (we presume “the finger”) at Barnsley fans during a 5-0 loss on March 1. Shea apologized on Twitter, but was left out of the team on Saturday and manager Danny Wilson explained why the 24-year-old is done at the club. "It's about the fans,” Wilson said. “What happened was unsavory and we have to make sure that the situation doesn't escalate or affect the team.” Needless to say, this doesn’t bode well for Shea.
At SXSW, Jurgen Klinsmann said he wants American fans to hold players accountable when they screw up. “If you miss an easy shot in a game, you want the player to go to the supermarket or the butcher shop the next day and have a fan ask them why they missed that shot,” Klinsmann said. Basically, if you see a player in public, be a jerk to them.

The U.S. women lost their second match in a row in the Algarve Cup, falling 5-3 to Denmark. It's the first time they've dropped back-to-back games since 2001. They finished the group stage winless and will face North Korea in the seventh-place match on Wednesday.
Jermain Defoe practiced with Toronto FC for the first time Monday and says he's "100 percent." Michael Bradley also says he's good to go for Saturday’s opener against Seattle.
