- We all wondered why Shane O’Neill wasn’t on the Olympic qualifying roster. Turns out he had a head injury, which doctors later discovered was just an inner-ear infection. “It was a nightmare to be honest,” O’Neill said. “It was very disappointing, obviously. If they found out about it earlier, I would have been released for qualifying. All I needed was an antibiotic.”
