Jason Kreis, who threw a little fit when someone mentioned this last week, is joining NYCFC as the franchise's first head coach. "The opportunity to develop the first professional club based in New York City was impossible to pass up as was the chance to immerse myself in the football operations in Manchester observing some of the leading figures in European football," he said. He'll get the full Manchester City treatment starting in January and then, presumably, start planning in earnest for the 2015 debut. Meanwhile, the team might have a stadium deal in the near future right by Yankee Stadium. Then again, of course, they might not.
