A Tale of Two Rosters: U.S. Soccer Calls 21 for Ecuador
Miguel Ibarra made Klinsmann's roster, but Gyasi Zardes did not. Luis Gil will be in East Hartford, but Jermaine Jones and Michael Bradley will not. It's an interesting roster, and we want to hear what you think of it.

JURGEN KLINSMANN NAMED 21 players for the October 10th friendly against Ecuador (7pm ET, ESPN), including the most prominent name he neglected to include on his 2014 World Cup roster—Landon Donovan.
As most observers already know, the match will serve as a testimonial and farewell for Donovan, the most celebrated and successful male U.S. soccer player ever. Donovan will hang up his boots knowing that he is the team's all-time leader in goals (57), and assists (58)—and if he adds to either of these categories in East Hartford, Conn., the crowd will no doubt go wild.
It's difficult to predict how Klinsmann would respond if, say, Donovan scored a hat trick against Ecuador. High five? Cold shoulder? Wouldn't it be interesting to find out?
Worth noting, U.S. including this in the press release that circulated Monday: "Following the USA's game in East Hartford, Klinsmann is expected to make several changes to the U.S. roster that will travel to Boca Raton, Florida, to face regional rival Honduras in the USA's first match in Palm Beach County."
Hmmm. Here's the full squad:
