  • "The U.S. Women’s National Team defeated New Zealand 5-0 with a dominant performance on Tuesday night in front of an electric crowd of 30,596 as Alex Morgan, Lindsey Horan, Mallory Pugh, and Lynn Williams scored at Nippert Stadium. The USA put together an excellent performance on both sides of the ball, controlling possession and piling up a 19-5 shot advantage. With the win, the USA sweeps the two-game series against the Oceania champions."

  • Congrats to Josh Sargent:

  • Here is a very long piece about Sunil Gulati. You should read it.

  • "Former U.S. Men’s National Team player Tab Ramos will continue as U.S. Soccer Youth Technical Director and U-20 Men’s National Team head coach after agreeing to an extension. Ramos has served as Youth Technical Director since Nov. 2013 and head coach of the U-20 MNT since Oct. 2011."

  • "The fellas of Christos FC do many things well. They coach. They found companies. They are marketers and statisticians. But the two things they do best are play soccer together and drink beers together.  On a recent Friday night, a handful of them were doing the latter."

  • This will be interesting:
  • "A little more than a year after leaving his home in Dallas, 19-year-old Weston McKennie made his first Bundesliga start for Schalke 04. It was against the biggest of all opponents, Bayern Munich, and he played 56 minutes in central midfield before going off for a second forward. Schalke, which trailed, 2-0, went on to lose the game, 3-0."
