Boyd, Shea, and Corona will inevitably get pitch time. In order for that to happen, and still leave room for a possible defensive-minded switch in Edu/Beckerman, he must start one of the three. Corona seems the perfect fit, especially given Zusi's subpar performance, and Corona's familiarity with the Mexican league. Corona states that he enjoys playing centrally, but that "coach plays be more out wide." With the partnership between Beasley and Gomez looking positive, those two stay put. In the U.S.' 1-0 win in Azteca, Klinsmann started 3 Mexican-Americans (JFT, Gomez, Castillo) and won. I think he'll go with the number 3 once more, with 2 Mexican-Americans and 1 player who is familiar with the league. Unless the public is discretely suggested otherwise, Goodson and Gonzalez remain the CB pairing.
