This roster looks to an audition for slots 18-23 by the Euro-based youngsters who look like they could break through soon, mixed with a few core players to see how they interact. I think we'll see strong first half lineups for both the US and Russia so we can test ourselves, then in the second half we'll see every sub be used by Klinsmann to get as many players out there as possible so he can evaluate spots 18-23 on the long term roster. Bradley, Cameron, Altidore, and Johnson will be the only ones who get anywhere close to the full 90 so there can always be a bit of the core group out there for the fringe to play off of. Should be a good game for the first half at least. As much as I want a big statement-making win against a UEFA zone team that should qualify for the WC, this roster about trialing for the fringe spots.
