Much, much harder line-up to select than the previous. I've went with what we've seen from Arena previously and feel he'll give the back-up goalkeeper a shot in the final group game before reverting back to Guzan for the knockout round. If so, I think collectively we'd like to see Hamid. Brad has a great tournament so far just to note. I also, and I know we've seen it before, would go with the dependable Gonzo/Bes pairing. Yes, it's not as romantic as some of the unknown options, but Matt Hedges looked like the pressure got to him midweek and in the final group game when confidence needs to be built, I unfortunately don't see Arena using Miazga here which is a shame. Perhaps he sees Miazga as a post 2018 option, when he won't be the coach and new blood at that position will need to be threaded in. I'd put Villafaña back in also and I think Bruce will do the same. I'd give Acosta a game off here. He's looked a little bit lost the last two games. Perhaps he suffers when not playing alongside Bradley? Roldan and McCarty are both similar options but if you're going to test anything in this game, this would be my option, and if it's not working there's depth on the bench to correct it midgame. Morris has to keep his spot Wednesday night, doesn't matter who the goals come against, he is a confidence player and there's no sense in halting that while he's made a start on rebuilding it. Corona deserves a shot to regain his form of the Ghana game here and Rowe has been mostly excellent in his spot and I think it's a plus that if his influence is dwindling out there or if a spark is needed, we can bring Zardes off the bench where his pace can stretch a bunkering opponent. Although hardly shot for confidence, if enjoy Dwyer having the chance to add to his tallies in this game and if he can get more than one, He goes into the quarter finals feeling untouchable, which is as important aspect of the game for a striker as anything else.
